I tore a shift bellows Friday night.
It was sinking slowly, but still sinking.

Sucks when the floaty part stops working.
Glad the bilge pump was faster than the leak!

Not sure if it was going already (probably) or if that big air off the 4-5 footers on Lake Erie friday night did it. Sure was some big air.

Where's the helicopter camera when you need it?

Port engine is missing a little after that run too. I think a plug wire came loose at the dist, I was screwing with my shift assist module.
Hoping to get everything worked out by Friday.

If not I'm launching the little boat.

Not even going to touch that one

Fresh water not working and the genset shuts down after about 15 minutes. Other than that Thanks to Throttle-Up for the test props. We will have to keep trying.

"Outlaw" should finally be ready, problem is I don't know if I will be or not. Second kidney stone surgery in two weeks this coming Friday.

This whole kidney stone ordeal started two weeks ago tomorrow night. And to say it sucks is the biggest understatement to have ever come out of my big mouth.

I have a "shunt" inside me, where things are not meant to be inside. Thank you Percodans. Lalalala Lalalalalala Lalalalala Lala

Lost all oil pressure in the starboard engine while running hard. Luckily it is only a poor wiring job by me to the sender :) Unluckily it is on the engine which the sender is near impossible to reach  Will be ready for memorial day. You heading to the Chesepeake this weekend Cal?

Depends if my buddies house is done....and if I do I'll probably trailer it down. The ol' PSD does a whole lot better than the boat and Diesel's cheaper too :D

Oh yeah , I still have to fix my oil leak...minor but annoying as he!!

Re: Monday damage report

I ran it HARD Sunday on 3-4 foot rollers, going with them at 65mph at times. The boat left the water a few times :) I love the sound of props just breaking the surface, the r's jump about 500 or so and the whine of the engines is like a hot chick having the big O :) My alternator was telling me it was on it's last leg, it was charging fine but clicking and there was metal dust around the hoses close by. I removed it last night, ordered a new one today at NAPA (marine for 150, not bad) and will have it in on Tuesday night. The alt may be fine, I only hear a little squeak when I spin it but that may be what I hear when it is spinning on the engine, plus I could feel it clicking and it was loud so for a buck fifty I am not going to screw around. It is 10 years old after all. Otherwise she is running awesome, the oil is still clean after 15 hours and it just runs and pulls right to 5000 rpm. I got lucky here, I did my homework on this one but you still never know. I feel confident enough to cross the lake so lets go Parnell, 88 miles at 55 gets us there in 2 hours, including the customary stop mid way to drink a few bears. I am ready so get ready Milwaukee, WI. :)

Hey Blue Boy, I get Percocet, Percodans big (real big) brother. 2-3 of those and you could start yourself on fire and not feel it. 1 is more than enough.

Jim~

You sound like a friend of ours. He didn't drain his irrigation system for winter and most of the pipes busted. He told his wife that lightning struck the line and tore everything up. I swear....some women will believe ANYTHING!

Where do you boat at? We're just down the road a little in Salisbury. Oh...and we're BAJA people too!

I hope to come over mid to early july. By then the water is warm and you don't freeze to death. I will be sure to post a week or so before so we can get a few from here and you can get a few there. It is going to happen.

Mine was already broke from a couple of weeks ago when one engine got hot. Cracked both heads. Should have them back this week, but since I'm working on the boat in the slip and knowing how it will be here on the "Lake" this weekend not sure I'm going to get to work on it. Might have to rely on the ole pontoon boat. Uggggghhhhh. Still a great party barge. Load up the beer!!!! Have fun everyone!!

Actually they are Percocet 7.5-500 tablets. I had Percodans when I had my wisdom teeth pulled and thought they were the same. No wonder Saturday at my poker run is "rather" blurry. Still on them. Have my second surgery this Friday.

Mitch, after what you went through this winter, it's nice to see a "happy" ending to a story once in a while, by getting that gorgous boat you have. Hope you see your "ex" on a "blowbote" sometime and you get to do a fly by and hose her down real good. 200 gallons of water in the face should get her attention.

No lie there!! Put a lot of fuel in the beast the past two weekends (and the starboard motor is sucking more than the other two).

Damage report:

Loose trim tab hydraulic hose at the pump. My fault, messy, and cost me a pint of fluid, but easily fixed.

Encounter with a substantial mud flat (at idle speed). It took me an hour to get the muck out of the strainers and engines and get cooling water flowing again, and wound up having the boat hauled out for an inspection. Skegs and lower side of the bullets are now 100% free of paint and 40% free of primer. Again - easily fixed. Props now have that nifty satin "lab-finished" look to them, though - kind of cool. :p I'll think twice about trusting my "local knowledge guide" in that creek again...

Only major casualty was the wallet. 200 miles = 200 gallons. :(
