Yea., Reynold's #'s say not to take a stepped Top Gun in a sewer with rapidly flowing water or you might spin out. I think there is a factor to take floating turds into consideration too!

I believe they just bought the boat. Jason at Lake Shores would have the details. When I spoke to him Sat. things where still not clear what happened. Last I heard the water patrol and or insurance company was going to look at the boat.

I'm sure glad I found out that all (stepped hull or straight v too?) performance boats are just splashes of each other; I have to admit, Formula, Cigarette, Donzi, Sunsation, Pantera, Active Thunder, Black Thunder, Outer Limits, Hustler, Dragon, Powerquest etc etc really do a fine job of disguising the fact that they are in fact all the same hull!

BTW, do Michael Peters and Harry Schoell know that all stepped hull boats are "designed" in the marketing department? Just curious....

Shane, Pat, I was/am just watching (10 minutes ago) a video that Shane Sherman sent me. Boca Raton with Pat in the boat, raining. Running the $hit out of Fast Lane Then to another race with Shane and Shane and a navigator on board. Great video....it's still on with some Florida Poker Run filler Just thought I'd chime in. The best education is experience in my book. I've learned how to run fast and flat in my Tantrum by trying out different tab/drive settings. Attitude is Everything!!

Whatever... we've gone over this stepped bottom stuff so many times that it's turning into a steaming pile of BS. We may want to start other threads which will achieve similar results very close to a pissing contest:

1. Blue is better than red! Agree?

2. My dad is stronger than yours...

3. Wine is so much better than beer...

496HO vs. 502 Mag? Ohhhhhh, 502 was much better. Stuff in general was so much better back in the days... they don't make them like that anymore... all this new stuff (engine electronics, stepped hulls) is crap. Marketing hype used to shift more sub-standard (and dangerous) products...
