[QUOTE=Jesse James]The last couple year super cat winner has been an MTI and it is built east of Denver

Yes, I am aware it is built east of Denver. No it is not a skater.
hmmmm, maybe there is another manufacturer that can build boats. I hear Skaeter is offering a STEPPED Vee now. Oh, I forgot, they are all copies of each other. Wonder whose boat SKATER splashed to build their Vee?

seen a ol spin out on a poker run in calif on the delta ugly deal,,

not saying its the boats fault,,
its the nature of a 100+mph boat !!!
i could take my 80 mph boat and do same thing and it would be fine. but if the thing would have done 100 it would have spun too prob..
this thread is getting out of controll..

steve1...i like the way u talk.

cig..i had to re-read that one a few times...and a few more...: the boxes changed your moment of force,,,not the moment of inertia (aside from their own weight)... your "snap around time", as you call it, changed only due to the fact that the moment of force changed...so adding the boxes only can really make it seem loose and VERY sensitive to inputs (both)...or change the MOI also and reap all the benefits...notched transom anyone...there are some very good people out there that know set-up and can accomplish this w/o out really knowing why...they just know how to dial in a boat!

u r killing me...i just got out of a boat and now i'm talking about them...not sure how much i even like them!!! i'm riding MX this weekend, while the bald guy makes some templates and jigs...sometimes ya gota leave a guy alone to play with his lasers!

dont turn a step-hull hard while going fast . . . if you like to turn hard while going fast you may be better off in a conventional-hull . . . if you drive a step-hull be careful while turning . . . dont be a idiot in any boat . . . if you plan to drive a boat fast wear a lanyard and life-vest . . . dont drink if you plan to operate a boat anytime soon . . . buy a skater if you can afford one but if you cant then buy a boat that you can afford and drive it sensibly and you should be alright . . .

DAMN GLAD I got one of them lumpy ole resin buckets that takes 1000 hp engines to go 80 mph. Least I know I got enough wetted surface to keep the boat in the water and not hurt anyone on board. Of coarse everone knows APACHES are too slow to get out of everyone else's way.

Kitty, sorry we can't make SOTW, but mark your calender for Sept. 12th for the BIG day.

Robert
