There have been quite a few Top Gun T/S that have been over. But, don't count the F-2 Race Boats!!!

I'd be curious to know how many dumb @sses don't know how to drive a step boat without flipping it! As everyone says, this topic has been beaten to death.... Bottom line - know what the heck you're doing, or let someone else drive (or buy one of them ol' resin buckets - just kidding Apache clan)!

I'm one of them, since I've never owned a stepped boat. That had nothing to do with my question. I wasn't trying to bring up the stepped hull debate, either. As I said, I wasn't trying to stir up some s%$t, I was just curious.
If what Rick said was true, that only one Gladiator has been over (Aside from race incidents), which I have no reason to doubt, then I was wrong. I already said that.
I was probably thinking of race incidents, which I wouldn't hold against any boat.

NO , the bottom line is , they ALL have the potential to get out of shape.

Seems like fewer Cat flips and lots of V-spins. Used to be the other way around.

He may not have been a "novice" driver .. but, running a Skater w/900's does not give you the experience to blast around in a T/S boat.

Talked to some guys running a twin step &^%$, they hit 112 MPH, but the rear twitching over the 45 degree angle waves really freaked them out.

I am sure those grapes are sour, I'll stick with my ancient non stepped bottom...solid, no twitching at 30 MPH. <gg>

Maximus ???

I assume the 45 degree waves mean quartering seas ... I wouldn't feel comfortable in ANYTHING at 112 in quartering seas
