32 Skater?

Inboards or Sterndrives? Is that a trick question.
Did you mean Outboards or Stearndrives?
I would go Sterndrive SSM 6's, and medium HP nothing less then 800 a side.
Outboards are a lot cheaper but your going to need three of them on the 32

TDO , 6's and 800hp would be killer but wayyyyyy out of my league.
im wondering if a guy on a limited budget can own a mild powered 32 Skater (~85MPH) and not get hammered on insurance and the price of a used one.
something reliable too.

First, you need to state the year of the boat as the older generation or "Classic 32'" works better with outboards than the newer 32'.
That eliminates one question, next is what speeds do you hope to achieve and what type of boating. Rough water lends itself to the inboards.
Nothing lends itself to Bravos so choose your budget, then speed and power.

apache21 , thats what im interested in.
last summer i found myself in a pack of (4) 28 skaters w/outboards running up to big dicks.
they were toying with each other , running hard then backing off.
basically having a blast!!!
i thought to myself , man those guys are having way more fun then me but we were in fairly clean water so they could air them out. water is terrible where im at (10 mm) so maybe an older 32 could handle it?
im not looking for something that will do 100 mph either so maybe insurance wont be outrageous
