My ultimate goal is to run with the big boys of SCOPE however, I do not yet have the budget to carry a true ocean going vessel. I need one now that will be used on the ocean a few times a year while boating Havasu a couple/few weekends a month.

I'm even looking at some 28-29' V Hulls. Hell for price and insurance purposes, that would definitely be a better bet.

I guess....but, you don't see a lot of people trading Skaters..... for Magics and the rest of that junk.

P.S...... Buy a Skater....... You can get great graphics.... and gosh! If you wanna display it for your friends at the dock and on a trailer, you don't even have to buy engines. In which case the performance is identical to anything made west of Denver.

I own an East Coast boat, but you can't make a blanket statement like this and really believe it, can you?

I have owned an Eliminator and two DCB cats and all werew great boats. Not designed to run offshore, but to run fast and stable on the lakes and rivers that are a popular place to run here on the West Coast.

Dave at DCB will tell you that his boats are built to run on a lake or the rivers. Bob Teague, who's opinion I highly respect, said the new 29 DCB cat was one of the "best" cats he has aver driven. This guy has driven 100's of boats and has more knowledge than most in the performance marine industry. How do explain his opinion on DCB?

Eliminator I believe still holds the speed record for a single engine cat at 144 mph (with Bob Teague driving). How can you dismiss that.

I love East Coast boats, but you can not simply dismiss the quality of some of the builders on the West Coast IMO.

Yup...and I've never driven a Pontiac with a decent front end.
