Daves personal 29 DCB runs 123 mph with 525's. That does not sound like bad performance does it?

BTW, What about Bob Teagues comments, or is he not a knowledgable because his shop is on the West Coast?

Yeah...but that is with the new high tech " max speed" paint and vinyl...and I think it's too expensive for most of us.

1. I love all the pretty West Coast boat thingies

2. I will ignore all the stepped hull spinouts from now on and drink Koolaid when I am told.... Like a good soldier.

There isn't that better?

I was merely stating my opinion, we are all entitled, but you sure act like a friggin 15 yr old instead of an old man.

Get off you Skater high horse and how about having an open mind about other boats and stepped bottoms.

ARE YOU FRIGGIN KIDDING ME??????????????
What a B.S, statement that is. I was in a Tiger with twin 1,000's yesterday (with HavasuCig) and we went to Catalina and that boat drank ALOT of fuel. We were running hard.
It is impossible for 3x 300's to use more fuel than twin 1,000's!!!!!!!!!!
I have to call B.S on this anyways because I don't think DCB has built a 29 with tripples. On top of that you can't compare an O/B cat to an I/O cat. I have owned both are they are different animals.

I think you are talking about gelcoat. "paint and vinyl" seem to be an East Coast thing.

Bob Teague is a capable guy..... but if you read the last 40 years of Powerboat you will find him describing everything from Bayliners to Buzzi's in glowing terms.... Face it, the boat tests almost always correspond with an ad in the magazine...and if memory serves me right from our advertizing days in that august publication, the back page(DCB's customary slot) fetches a premium rate.

Buy your boats based on your own decisions/likes and dislikes...... not P.B's...... but be informed and listen to more than one source. If nothing else I give y'all something to ponder occasionally...... Eh?

P.S. I notice when I'm in California , I look more youthful and stylish but I can't seem to run as fast.

I guess I will have to tell Bob his opinions are B.S next time I am at his shop. Thanks for enlightening me.
