I posted this in the tech section but got no action.
Seems I got some fishing line in my seal this weekend. Found a puddle of drive fluid under my Glastron motor today. Damned if I can't get the prop off though. It hasn't been off in I'd guess 15 years. I've soaked it with penatrating oil and tried to use my gear puller but the claws are too big to get behind the prop. Anyone in West Michigan have a prop puller or something that might work???? Then, how do you replace a prop shaft seal???

foul you have to get a the red wrench out and heat it. the prop will jump off of the rubber hub , DO NOT STAND BEHIND IT ! then burn the rubber of and heat the brass hub hot and beat it with a chilsel . it is croded on the prop shaft almost welded . itslef to it . as for the seal i'll call my merc man and see if you have to pull the bering carrier. i doint rember. if you would like to call me the # is (336) 344 1610 . robbie
