Re: Signature 38
Funny you should ask about Tom - he was my dad. I have some info in signature of course, but Im always looking to find out more about my dad and about the boats. do you have any picks? I have tons of my dad and the boats but nothing recent. I am supprised and overjoyed that signatures are even still out there.
Please contact me when you get a chance.

Re: Signature 38
Hi J !! I own a 1979, 38' Signature, I'm in the process of retoring it to new condition. I've been trying,,,to get info and pics of your dad, the company, and the boats etc. but no luck at all.. I saw my first Signature 38 back in 76 in Detroit, Mich I thought it was the sharpest looking boat around, last year I was in a position to purchase my 38', and plan to redo her from top to bottom. I'll certainly keep you informed of it's progress and pics. if there's anyway I could get some copies of your family and boat photos, that would be awesome, regards Al

My Father and I built ( 4 ) 38' Panteras in the early 90s that came from the original Signature 38' molds. 3 of them went overseas and I personally raced the one I have attached a picture of with a pair of staggered 1100 HP Gellner marine motors with my customer in Modified class in 1995 and did very well with it.This boat is now owned by an OSO member in New Jersey. We were located in 188 st. from 1990- 1994 at the original Signature marine location. 3205 N.E. 188 St. The 38' Molds were sold in the mid 90s.

JAdams,
Welcome to OSO! I never met your dad but saw him race.
One of my favorite Signatures was "Crazy Greek", a 27' with twin 280's. Ive got a ton of pics-some are posted on the thread, "Back in the dayss". This was a great thread on classic racing and has many of my photos-post 138 is a pic of your dad's boat (I didnt take this pic)

Hey Adams jr: I was friends w/ your dad, he was quite an innovator, years ahead of the times! We raced against each other, and he was fearless.
I remember one race in 1979 in Ft,Lauderdale @ Le Club, he had the throtles pushed foward w/ a bungy cord, That was your Dad!
He did drive Don Aronow crazy moving next door to Cigarrette, they would holler @ each other profanities. He was definetely a riot.
We were located in the old Signature building for a while, if you want to hear stories about your dad stop by, and I will tell YOU some GOOD stories of him. later, Pepe @ Pantera.
