One for the 24 Outlaw guys....(Okay, so the pic is nowhere as cool as Phantoms, but you get the point
) Oh...and yeah, I know the pic is not the greatest and is crooked, deal with it
Both are great boats for the cost, go with whatever your personal preference may be is my advice. Get a survey eitherway you go. Good luck, have fun

The Velocity's hull and deck is glassed together, it's stringers are full length and usually a race set-up....the Baja will not be built as strong...usally the hull and deck are pop riveted together. A Velocity is designed to run on top of the waves, which means on the pad which occurs around 50mph or so...run at this or higher speed and the Velocity will give a much better ride than the Baja. The 2 boats are only the same in that they both use "production" hardware, but the Velocity's hull is much more solid..period!

The Baja is a good entry level boat and the Velocity after owning and running several over the years is a great way to go,not only will it out perform the Baja but it will hold a decent resale value when you get ready to get a bigger Velocity, good luck in your decision.

I personally feel that the ride of the Outlaw is far better than a Velocity. There is a guy in our boating group that used to have a 24 velocity that rode like a cement mixer and did the velocity hop when trimming. If you are going to use the boat on rough water the Outlaw would be the boat to go with. The resale value as long as the boat is taken care of will be the same as the Velocity as well. The Baja name is more well known than Velocity!

Couldn't agree more w/ Too Old.
As far as build goes, they look to be the same (interior, cabin and exterior) I personally like the lines of the Outlaw better and as far as re-sell goes. Check the classifieds they aren't that much off each other. If you're buying a boat for re-sell purposes, I wouldn't buy either.
I have had a great time in my Outlaw and have run in some big water w/bigger boats and hung right in with them (of course I'm a bit crazy
). Buy what you like is all there is to it. They both seem to be in the same category.

Water test them both and then come look at this.
The decision will be an easy one
