James, I will vouch for Bobby's truck. Towed Monsoon up and down the mountains with no problem. Clean truck with tinted windows, nerf bars, chrome wheels, leather buckets, and Line-X already installed.

My Excursion was a Powerstroke Diesel. the V10 had a trade in value of 17K (then add for the options). That is what i put in my post, but onloy said "psd". The "psd" was worth another $2,500 on the trade in. Still sucked, and yes its all about hte bottom line. "Wholesale to wholesale or retail to retail. Anyway, I'm glad to be in something else now.....not the best "daily driver" due to the mileage!

the reality is...the bottom fell out of the market for used excursions, due to dealer incentives, cash back etc. on new vehicles. i had actually wanted to trade it in 14 months ago to a dealership in california while i was there and they would only give me 22k for it way back then! 2 dealerships here in NY said they would give me 26k until i got there and was working a near invoice deal on the new car. once there wasn't enough fat in the deal, the trade in value got much skinnier too. that's what i meant by wholesale to wholesale or retail to retail. i'd be willing to bet the offer for 28k changes when it comes to writing a check unless they are making it up on the new purchase. the excursion was up for sale for 9 months. as always, when it comes to writing a check, people's arms shrink up into their shoulders.

anyway, best of luck to you and your next purchase. if someone will give you that 28k grab it! i'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade here. i'm sorry i said anything as it is. again, good luck and enjoy.

28k is a ton take it and run.

You can buy a 2002 on ebay for less.

My dad got a trade in price on his 2003 6.0 psd limited 4x4 every option available w/70k miles for $25,000.

2002 V-10 Excursion I had with 37K miles was only worth around $23k. I loved the vehicle however the resale stinks. I know the PSD does much better but more than 5K more would be a stretch. I sold it and bought a Suburban which seems to be a little kinder on the back end.
