i'v ebene htinkign abtou getting a new car for while but can;t seme to find anything i'm really into. I loved my old M Coupe and my current 325is doens't even come close to filling its shoes.

Gimme some suggestions. Doesn't haveto be brand new. I am considering good condition lowish miles used as well. Its gotta be a car, no SUVs or trucks (alreayd have one). And its gotta be sporty if not a full bore sports car.

right now the only thing i have on my potential list is like a 2000-2001 M5. Perhaps even a late 90s porsche. Looking to spend under 40k. And nobody even bother suggesting a vette (yeha they are fast and handle but I don't like em).

Suggest away.

He's right, it's a great car. Also let's look into the Infiniti G35 Coupe 6 Speed.

I have an M5 coming in on trade, also a G35 with 8,000 miles on it. Got a black Porsche 911 with 7,000 miles. I have an 01 or an 02 Audi S4, but it has 60,000 miles (Cheap) and another 100 similar vehicles.

i've been meanign to call for like 2 weeks!!! I've bene kinda crazy with bussiness since the racing season ended. I'll give yoau call tommorow afternoon.

wasabe. I'm amazed i'd have though you would have suggested an older ferrari ;)

S4 is on teh list i want to drive one though. How is teh turbo lag on those? I've had bad luck with turbochared cars in the passed. They ran fine just i liek to know ther ewill be power there withotu aturbo sppling up. And afte rteh 325 watkins glen incident (thank again for fixxin taht one fred) the only car of mine taht goes to eth track is the open wheel formula ford.

lucky not the new body style though! and if i was going for a benz it would HAVE to be the new body. I feel its one of the best looking cars on the road these days. out of my price range though.

i like eth new clk too once again new body required and out of my price range.

turbo lag? 4.2 liter V8!!!!! the old s4 had a twin turbo v6 still no lag but not the 350 hp 6 speed like now

Puder, I know a tuner up in Westport area that does audis.
He can crank up an older S4 to 370+hp w/ just a few mods.
Otherwise the M3 is a good way to go.

I love all the cars you have metioned especially the A4. Right now if i were to get a car it would be a CTS-V. I didnt think they were to much untill i went to the dealer and sat in one. The worst part about the CTS-V would be trying to keep it stock.

M-3's, and A-4's are very very nice cars....but you have to go drive one of these.....CTS-V (cadillac) wouldnt have believed it myself until i drove one.

i would also check out the Lincoln LS V-8. Caught a test ride on speed vision where they put it against a 5 series (i believe 540) and the drivers and editors were all over the LS. I watched them drive the tires off these cars and the LS performed incredibly...just my .02

S4 is 129hp shy of the E55 469hp. The SLK55 definitley looks like a great little car to kill yourself in, 355 hp.

hmmm didnt; think abtou anew mustang but that looks pretty good. Is that Mustang in the picture factory or has it been lowered and covered in aftermarket goodies?

CTS-V. seem them run on the track. Fast (ls6 vette engine helps). I hear they handle well. And they are doign well racing. BUT i'm not too big on the interiors ofthem. And in my humble opinion the styling comes in a close second to a ginsu knife. Just not my taste at all. It is hoowveer gettgin better and cadillac is defaintly stepping in the right direction.

oh and i am looking for a manual. The only car i'd consider in an auto would be a sl500 (which is out of my price range).

had a 96 and wasnt crazy about...your spoiled with the ride of the m-3...viper rides worse than a Z-06 and there pretty stiff...nice sunday car but thats about it...my .02

oh yeah lioncoln is out. Just not that old yet.......

and the subaru good car fast handles well. I'd never be able to not do tons of work to it. And once it looked and was decked out like the works WRC car i'd get the bright idea to go (club) rallying with it. ANd taht is justa bad idea.
