I think it come's down to any of the above.Throttle up are nice people,Mercury has been there for years,and I have been at it 27 years at the ripe age of 43 as of Dec 5th.
It's your choice But long story short,No one is perfect! I think when it come's to trying to please the customer's request,want,needs WE ALL TRY OUR BEST!

Do you have prop shops or folks over there that can fix dings and voids? If so, I would say go ahead and thin it. However, your prop becomes VERY fragile when thinned. A twig will take the final edge off and make it ugly. I think the benefit of having it thinned is not worth the hassle and cost over just having it trued, sharpened, and perfected.
