Might want to make a couple of phone calls to check on the price of Insurance on any Cat's nowadays!! I've heard that only two company's will insure them and the price starts at about $2,500.00 per year!!!

Insurance is definatly steep on these boats but lets face it, there isnt much when it comes to performance boating that is reasonable. I had quotes on a 28 Skater just north of your figure
