Ratman made a suggestion to take pictures of the article and post to see if its cleans up so it can be read.If that doesn't work I'll have it typed in tomorrow. The article is pretty interesting.

Wish I had all my mags from the day !
Interesting how those boats were the cat's meow , especially in terms of luxury (which the magazine articles always picked up on)... for their time !

By today's standards they are pretty spartan, but had all they needed to get the job done .
Unlike the characterless blobs of today these originals still stand out 40 years later.

What a truly talented bunch it was who got the ball rolling.

Brownie sent a Nova 24 out here in the late 60's/early 70's. It's owner always said (and still does) the exact same thing about aluminum outdrives... Poo poohs boats with I/O s

.. Wonder where he got that from ?

S

Thanks for posting all those great articles .

I am a sucker for the classics, gotta admit kinda lost interest when all the boats got splotchy, zig zaggy, swirly paintjobs and styling.

I love reading and seeing the history of the boats but thank god I'm not old enough to remember it!
