Reason #486 why OSO is the bestest!!
A while back, I posted a question about "Budah" engines, which generated some interesting responses, most of which had to do with the reliability and/or ethics of the builder.
As some of you may know, this "Budah" fellow runs a board that looks amazingly like OSO, with minor cosmetic changes. Shortly after posting the engine thread here, I find that my user id on the www.boatfreaks.org board isn't working - I can access private messages, but nothing else. I sent a message off to one of the "moderators", who was online at the time, but never received a response.
So, being a somewhat technical fellow, I did a bit of experimenting. I could access the site just fine if I cleared the cookies in my browser and accessed as a guest.
I could access fine as "guest" from my work PC, but not with my user ID, so it's not PC related.
I then registered a new ID and lo and behold, was able to access under the new ID. Apparently something is wrong with my account, I can't get anyone from the site to respond, and it all coincides with me finding some unflattering information about the site owner - and mind you, I didn't even post this information.
Things that make you go,"hmmmm"

Dockrocker don't feel bad, since I made a comment on that thread my BF's membership has been terminated too....
