Looking at buying a sled. Want something that will handle good and go over 100mph. Will a Yamaha 700 SRX get the job done? Thats for the help....

Speed, yes. Handling, not the the best. I would recommend a F7 (Arctic cat) or a Rev800 (Ski Doo). Both fast enough and the handling is great. The SRX is still a great sled, but there are better options. Just my opinion. I have riden most of whats out there.

Id go REV, Snowtech rated best sled for '05
Shane just got the SRX but riding hasnt been good so Im not sure if he will have much feedback, Snowtech rated the SRX best trail sled.

I may be wrong, but Shane had a SRX but just got a new Vector (the new smaller 4-stroke). I think that is the one he got. But then again I have been know to be wrong once before.

Thanks the Ski Doo was the other one I was looking at...How fast is the 800? I heard Yamaha had a better motor. But you always have different opions.

I went from a Thundercat 1000 to a REV 800 HO. I lost a bit on top end but on bottom and mid I can pull the T-Cat (I still have it) I would not look at anything but the REV. I have 750 miles this year and I am very happy. I have the Renegade with the new 16" wide track. It really can climb, I beat my buddies Mountiancat (1000) up every hill and now I lead because he gets stuck too much. With the aux fuel tank I have 14 gallons of fuel and still room for a bag. The ride is the best part, you can go all day and listen to them bit ch about the trail and just sit and laugh. It is truley a Revolution.

Take a look at the Rev 800. It's a damn nice sled (from an AC guy)
