I looked into that too but I want to be able to hold 4 people with four doors. Most states don't make you have a CDL if it's for personal use. If you get one set up right it will have big air brakes. The 50 Nortech is most likely the biggest heaviest boat I will tow, with the new layups the next boat will be a lot lighter and only have twins.

I've bounced it off the limiter at 100 pulling up to Catawba but normally tow at about 70-75.

My Tahoe is about at its limit so I do the drag and fly. Fly down one hill and drag up the next. Average speed about 68 by GPS. It always amuses me when I get to the ramp and see a diesel dually pulling these 2800 pound bass boats.

F-350 Dually, 42 Fountain Lightning. 90-100 Myrtle Beach to Savannah. Saw a little better than 100 at one point. It's ALL about the MYCO trailer. Those things are good for another 10-15 MPH w/ the same tow vehicle and boat behind it.

98 Ram 5.9 magnum 4x4... 6000+ lb Baja on two axle Eagle... I've seen 90 on the flat sections of I-55 heading south towards LOTO. Then again, I've seen it go from 90 to 50 going up a hill on I-70 west of St. Louis... I think some of you know the hill I'm talking about....

Same truck, 14' Glastron on single axle tilt trailer (who knows who made it!!!)... might weigh 1000 lbs full of my fishing gear and lunch. Got pulled over for running 84 UPHILL on the way to Hardy Pond last summer. Truck doesn't know that boat is there... Cop let me go by the way... must have been a boater of fisherman.
