Re: Chief Powerboats - The Beginning of a new tribe
That is one beautiful boat! Great job! I must say the boat looks tuff, That is the best advertisement for Mitcher T's work I have ever seen. and those tabs from Trick marine just look sick! I can't wait to see more from Chief (especially the 28) I'll keep saving my pennies. :D
Congrats. Rob |
Re: Chief Powerboats - The Beginning of a new tribe
very nice marc. hope to see it at smoke on the water

Re: Chief Powerboats - The Beginning of a new tribe
What does this mean for Active Thunder? Are the 28, 33, and 37 Chiefs the current AT models? Seems awfully coincidental that AT just happens to build a 28, a 33, and a 37 - and nice ones at that!
Can't wait to see the nekkid pics of that beast! :D |
Re: Chief Powerboats - The Beginning of a new tribe
Pardon me if This is common knowledge but what is the relationship between Active Thunder and Chief? I see AT's 28 Savage as the model on the Chief site. Is AT and Chief merging? I know Active Thunder is a quality boat so that only helps further Chiefs pedigree of quality boat builders on the job.

Doh! That's what I get for posting before reading the whole thread, the pics were right there! Fantastic looking ride, guys!!

Re: Chief Powerboats - The Beginning of a new tribe
The paint job is killer. Probably one of MT's best.
Sounds like the soap opera is about to breal loose..... |
Re: Chief Powerboats - The Beginning of a new tribe
No this is not from the 47'
The molds are Nu Teck molds that where designed and built by Bobby Saccenti for a now defunct company called Nu Tek We have since acquired the molds and with Bobby Saccenti (part of the Chief Powerboat team) and have fine tuned them We have created additional new molds (note the engine hatch and dash consoles) to give the old school look a new and current styling |
Re: Chief Powerboats - The Beginning of a new tribe

Re: Chief Powerboats - The Beginning of a new tribe
The Chief 28 savage on the chief website is a picture of an active thunder savage. Will both companies be making the same boat with different options ala GMC/Chevy or is AT discontinuing production of it?

Re: Chief Powerboats - The Beginning of a new tribe
AWESOME - AWESOME!! Congrats guys - in talking with Bobby last year at the Clevelander it sounded very encouraging at that point, then seemed to go quiet... way to open it back up - loud and proud!! :D
And yes, inquiring minds want to know, what is the AT / Chief relationship? Is Pat part of the new tribe or...? |
Re: Chief Powerboats - The Beginning of a new tribe
Pat is part of the tribe.
|
Re: Chief Powerboats - The Beginning of a new tribe
So, one more observation - now that I have looked at the web site... (came out great!!). Is the chick in the Chief web site in the black Bikini the same one standing on the deck of the 35' Nordic ad in the most recent issue of Powerboat? :) Just curious.

Re: Chief Powerboats - The Beginning of a new tribe

Re: Chief Powerboats - The Beginning of a new tribe
Hey Marc that is a piece of art work as far as I am concerned. That boat is beautiful. It is a lot harder than most people think to have all the things finished to the right level of quality. Wow that paint is hot and so is the design of the boat. Keep up the good work well see you at smoke on the water.
Hunter  |
Re: Chief Powerboats - The Beginning of a new tribe
Who has the 28' Apache/Cherokee molds?

Re: Chief Powerboats - The Beginning of a new tribe
1st off...Beautiful Boat!!! Sounds like you have a awesome team put together. I know that I'm satisfied with my AT that Pat built for me about 6 years ago. The paint is MT at his best. Love the look!! Too Old....nice parts. Looking forward to a finished project and #'s (price and speed) :D
