It tows 35' 1985 Cig Mistress, triple axle aluminum, effortlessly. Just dragged the boat home from MI (850mi) up and down the BlueRidge mountains of PA without a hint of strain. Rear sits perfectly with trailer hooked. No air bags (tow package preventing shift to overdrive), the truck is sweet. Gas mileage is 11mpg city, highway, wherever whenever doesn't matter. Towing mileage drops to like 7/8mpg Beside that no complaints ... Loves the snow too!

DAM! That is not an easy tow either. The 7 MPG sure beats the 1.5 you get with the Cig.
Ford seems to have their chit together on the new tranny. I am looking in the 35 to 38 foot boat too so I figured I would go with the Ford if I have too. My 01 Denali might not have another year of towing left in her
Do you have the load leveling suspension? mine works great. I have 125K on mine... runs great but I figure her time is limited from this point forward yarning around 9K.

Cig mileage is that good??? Yup on the load leveling, tow package option.

FORD will 'get ya thru' till '07 when you can trade it for a DuraBurb with Ice Metals

I'm a Chevy guy , but that's a ton of money for a USED Burban. Spend the money(or less) for a NEW Excursion with a NEW warrantee at your LOCAL dealer. OR for even less money buy a 1 or 2 year old Ex , many that still have the balance of the factory warrantee available. These should also have an available extended warrantee too
