I agree a lot of their boat tests are done on boats the average guy couldn't possibly afford, 500 - 1 mil range. Just look in our boats forum, the majority of threads are in Baja, formula, fountain, sonic, and then look how many nor-tech and O.L. have, they show what most of us are driving.

I repeat...Teague is the best tech editor in the business.

Couldn't agree any more. Thant article belonged in Readers Digest (wasn't good enough for that either). I too hoped to learn something about the motors beside most can't afford them.

Out of touch, that is what PB is.

Will,
I couldn't have said it any better!! That is exactly how I felt Power Joke treated us.

Have Teague marine build an engine for you that lasts 4 hrs and explodes..... Then have him tell you it doesn't matter that the oil filter was plumbed backwards and it isn't his fault and he won't stand behind it..... ANYONE THAT CLAIMS TO BE AN "EXPERT" BUT DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF A FILTER BYPASS IS EITHER A LIAR OR A FRAUD..... Does that clarify my point?......... ............

Powerboat later admitted it was a last minute mistake:

"The error really was that innocent. But sold out? It's just not true. Was it a good choice for our audience? No. Was it a mistake? Absolutely, but that's all it was. Not a conspiracy. Not a sellout." Bret Becker writes.

You people will use that as your rallying cry forever. If you're that pissed about Manatee zones, wage battle against those tree hugging fools, not one of the few publications that showcases our noisy (to some) gas guzzling boats that we love so much. Get over it already.
