By the way...the punk azz that started all this was Slingshot on another thread..so don't get blaming these guys...maybe he should stick to learning about how to powder coat silver chrome the proper way instead of worrying what happened to TMP....I love the guys who get on here...have nothing...talk smack and then have the audacity to break your wagon....great place!

I dont know either one of them and couldn't afford their motors anyways. I'm just glad to see that some one else is trying to build big reliable motors other than Merc, Teague and a select few other manufacturers. Competition is good for the market, it makes for better products and better prices. I hope JC and Tmp are both successful. Maybe when I can afford a custom 1000 hp+ motor I'll have a few choices. I know I'll be looking for the builder with the best warranty and best customer service. :drink:

open i know you're a little slow but you have to realize it's hard to make a blower engine when no blowers are available.
(see whipple thread). if blowers showup who knows.

i don't think he said they were building them for their boat, but just working/testing on them for alternatives for customers..... lets not start twisting what they say too much :D

they may make 1530 on 110 octane and at 7000 rpm's

Why did I not question him? 1 because Randy Scism doesn't lie and 2 the motors were Sterlings. I realize TMP does not have Sterling's reputation, but they ARE using 598ci blocks, so there's no reason they can't get at least 1500hp out of them, especially with quad rotors.

Now I'm not a TMP cheerleader by any means. In fact when I blew my motor last year I called and emailed them twice with no response. Maybe they don't do rebuilds on Ford motors. Maybe they were busy building their monster motors, I don't know, but for whatever reason they never got back with me.

I just posted this to show they can build the power they say they do.

and those motors were detuned to 1530....

Gatorone is correct with these numbers. I have talked to Randy Scism and Randy Kent(owner of boat) several times about them. They actually made over 1600hp but dialed them back a little. I assume for reliability, However Randy said he could dial them back up for like a Kilo run. I think Sterling usually turn turns these motors 7000-7200 rpm.

Also one BIG difference between these and all of the stuff I have heard about from TMP is these are big chief heads not conventional.
