42 Ex is at least within the ball park new for a lot of people. Yes it is produced in greater numbers than some but for what you pay I think they are a pretty good deal and for that you will see a few around but it fills a need. Without them you would go strait from Bayliner to CIg and thats a pretty big leap!Hey Dave waz happening??

It is true, if anyone disputes that do a search, I have been seeing it for years here on OSO. I don't think its because Fountain is the nicest, but it probably is the nicest for the money. Every time it comes up I wish some one would compare a CIG to a OL or Nor Tech WOW then some panties would relly get wadded up. Why doesn't one of the owners of these boats step to the plate and compare their rides to another "Custom shop" of those three who is the best Cig, OL, Nor thech???????????? 
whos got the balls to compare their ride to some one who spent as much $$$$$$ as you did. Or better yet compare your ride to a Skater or MTI,

They should be,they cost 2-3 times as much. But I must say,if
Fountains are such a P.O.S. then why do they sell so many?
Is it just the price ? Or just maybe alot of people actually like them?
Why is it that the O.L and Cig guys always get their panties in bunches
over Fountain? Are they upset because power for power Fountain
blows them away? I personally would give my left nut to own anyone
of the above mentioned boats and don't blame anyone one who owns
one to be very proud of it. But why always the knock on Fountains.

i did it myself recently while defending what i drive.

the point i was trying to make is boats are designed for different water conditions and since the current length i can afford is under 30ft. (tow vehicle/slip size limitations) my heavy boat is perfect "for me" because of the water conditions we boat in. a 29 fountain would obviously be faster with the same power but i would get beat up pretty good too.
fountains are also easy targets because of their distinct looks and nobody can deny their speed. like troutly always says.
their all a comprimise in some way.
and yes , you get what you pay for so who can beat fountain in the speed-per-buck catagory? none that i know of.
