Default shorties on a bullet

who has actually run two inch shorties on a cig bullet what power and what was your overal imoression of the planing and high speed capabilities
I know TMP did and said they had good luck has anyone else tried it .

I think Russ down in Savannah Ga put shorties on his bullet. He has blower motors not sure what size . I think he is happy with them.

What HP are you running now and what props. Just curious I have 650 a side with bravo 28's on the bullet now. It has run 85 with labbed 30's what speeds are you getting?

i rerigged a bulett , and we raised the x 3 inches from stock, with tweaked 28's she ran just over 80 like it was on rails. plaines off fine and backed up with out a problem

my hull is a 1989 and has the notch my motors are 565hp ea and I am runnig stock 1.5 ratio bravos just finished end of last year so dont have good speed/rpm number I was almot touching 80 with 26 bravos was hoping to be at about 82 with the shorties

I rode in the bullet tmp put shorties on when it had aprox.
500hp per side & it ran 78mph. picked up about 5mph with no
handling or planing issues. with the blower motors it ran a touch over 100. you had to drive the boat over about 80
but it wasn't that bad.

Maybe Im wrong Klaw. I guess the Rum Runners with the 151 Floaters on top effected my thinking and hearing about Russ's boat and his troubles getting on plane.

It wouldnt be the first time

I'm not sure if all of the Bullets were set up with the same X, but I can tell you that mine is very conservative. Two clicks on the throttle/2800 rpm's and on plane in 3 or 4 seconds. I'd love to hear from the people who have done this and what they think (or if they would do it again...given the chance)
