i can't view pics, cuz i'm cheap and haven't paid yet, otheriwse, here is some more info for you. Both props are a mirage, neither are a mirage plus. Both are solid hubs, no plastic. the bigger brass washer that is tappered for the shaft is p/n 13171. the smaller splined brass washer is p/n 12-31211. these parts fit each end of the prop, they do not on the 25p

My bad, I thought he bought a Bravo 1 prop, I missed the fact that he bought a Mirage. More than likely his old one was a solid hub and the new one has a torque flow hub just like the Bravos.........If thats the case his nut that goes into the end wont work for him anymore. The smaller one is the 12-31211, the larger is the 826074. I would try the 826074 insert and the thrust washer part number 12-835467-5. Does you new "solid" hub have splines for the prop shaft or four grooves for the insert?

you bought some old stock, they dont make anyhting with solid hubs anymore its all inserts, some are solid and some are plastic cone but they are all inserts and i dont think they even make the old Mirage anymore at all.

it's not new, it is a used prop. it was a spare for a guy with a cigarette boat. But anyways, the spline is correct, just seems like i need some different type of washers on each side or something. I'm not sure

I got a real stupis question, there isn't an old thrust washer stuck to the bottom of the prop is there?

nope, nothing but the prop's hubs, the two differ, not same other than the spline is correct

we all have, when i worked as a marine tech in california I saw a few boats that had multiple thrust washers on them and owners wondering why they wouldnt fit, the one i was famous for was coupling bravos with no drive shaft coupler in them, and I liked to install wheel seals on trailers without putting the bearing in first.

I don't know what else could be going on there I think all the old press in hub props were the same dimensionlly but i could be wrong, try getting julie or matt at throttle up to talk to you in the morning their # is posted in some of the posts in the prop section of this forum

Maybe he's already got the hub and the insert in the prop. If so all you need is the nut and retaining ring. you really need a camera so we can look over the situation......... Somebody on here will recognize whats going on and be able to help you. Maybe you can borrow one somewhere and post a picture.
