Default Rusty block- how rusty is too rusty??

I would love some opinions from from those in the know.... I am rebuilding my gen 6 502's with all new parts and new heads. My blocks were very rusty. After the hot tank, I took them to the acid stripper to take them down to bare metal. After that, I could really see how bad they had corroded. The worst parts are along the sides under the deck surface and near the pan rails. Some of the corroded areas are even under the head gaskets along the sides.
The blocks have been decked, bored .030 over, magnafluxed, sonic tested and pressure tested. Everything passed the tests.
Blocks have been painted very well with epoxy primer and urethane topcoat.
Will the deep corrosion on the outside come back to haunt me? Do you think I will regret using these blocks 5 years from now??? THANKS

Got any pictures? 5 years? How long are you expecting these 502s to last?

I would think internal corrosion weakening the cylinders and such would be of more concern.
I guess if the block passed all the tests then it "should" be ok.

Maybe the block should have been coated with OSPHO, or some other chemical, to stop corrosion and seal the surface before repainting.

Atleast the gen 6 has the blind head bolt hole . I wasted the maching work on a gen 4 once when the head bolts pulled out on assembly Had to by a merlin block.
