Kmiller, you said you put a 6.5 power valve in. you wrote you had 7.5-8.5 vaccum. if thats the case you should have a 3.5 power valve. you take your vac. reading and split it in half ,this a general rule of thumb.B.Miller

Yes, on certain intake combinations you will see fuel come out of that vauum hose when the engine is off. Start out with the Idle-Eze about 1-1/2 turns out from seated.

Where did you connect your vacuum hose for the gage? It should be connected to the intake manifold for a true reading. Some carb hookups are ported vacuum. There should be no gas in the line. If you don't have a fitting on the manifold, it's pretty easy to drill a hole and tap for a small pipe plug in one of the runners.

I could not find my idle-eze screw untill this....... I pulled the carb base off and found the idle-eze screw but the hole was never drilled out under the stud..... Well I drilled it out and clean the carb up, looks like the base plate was newer then the carb body, also the Idle-Eze was all the way in and the primary transfer slot was around 3/16 long, re-adjusted and start over....... Might have been my vacuum problem also?? Well thanks for all the help
