The 7075 material goes through a chemical and electrical process which transforms the outer material into a shell that Jager refers to as Alumini. Tensil strength goes from around 70K PSI to 320kPSI. A by product of the transformation is the lubricity of the outer Alumini shell. Minimal oil is needed. The first test engine was a OEM cast crank 400 SBC with 23 degree heads and a twin homemade dual blower set up with 144's. Car was a front engine rail Nostagia piece that ran 4.80's in the 8th mile. He put 500 passes on the cast crank and it is still together. Yes I agree cool stuff. |
