Eradicate minor corrosion on stainless steel?
I bought 2 new stainless steel props and ran them 2 times in salt water and hosed them down good 3 hours later. Then ran them twice in not the cleanest fresh water lake. There is minor corrosion on them now and I want it off! What is the best way to take care of my expensive babies?
Thanks, TJ

Most SS props are essentially a 304 grade stainless, and is subject to a little bit of pitting and crevice corrosion. Whiteknuckes' advice is the best. Keeping them polished to a mirror finish will not only get rid of the corrosion spots which have started, but will minimize the number of surface flaws for them to start in later.

I polish mine with Meguires metal polish, them wax them with Collinite (or any good paste wax). Lasts a month or two...

Old Womans method....Coke and a piece of aluminum foil. Removes scum, lime and rust from chrome and stainless. Leftovers go good with captain morgans too
