My Whipples have IAT ( intake air temp ) sensors in the rear of the intake manifolds, need to know more about the engine, is it a 525 with 555 controller ?

well, I hosed that up...............I still bet those 600's have a similar sensor

check your intercooler,,may need to be flushed out.
