When I bought it it had 1.32 gears in it. I had new 1.50 gears put in and only put 5-6 hrs. on it, always had synthetic oil, even with who I bought it from. I even created a kit to screen the water intake(they have 2 small intakes that clog with weeds very easily) without affecting water pressure. I only have a work # for the guy who bought it from me and I will contact him on Monday and post after.

The SS is available. If serious, send me an email and I'll let you know how much he wants for it. Just keep in mind the weight and shipping costs.

Olds Eddie- Not being a gold or platinum member I can't send you a pm and you don't have you're email available. I do if you click on my name. Send me an email so I can get you the info on the Alpha SS drive.

I forgot to mention, the drive also has a Simrek multi port drive shower on it. It looks just like the one on ebay.

Sort of crazy... I was trying to find out info about this drive for the last month or so, but I guess I asked the questions on the wrong forums. I just purchased an 87 Checkmate with a 5.7 Merc EFI with the Alpha One SS drive. From what I gather Mercury stopped producing this drive one year after introducing the Bravo One. I suspect they decided to start using the larger drive with the larger HP motors for increased reliability, but that is purely a guess.
