synthetic?
Just purchaesed 1999 pantera 28 sport with t/502's. Motors have 140 hours and have always been run on non-synthetic. Can I and should I switch to synthetic and if so what viscosity. If no, which is a good quality non-synthetic choice?
Thanks, Joe
Thanks, Joe

Mobil-1 15W-50 for normal offshore boating. About 35 hours drains I am hearing are fine.
Mobil-1 20W-50 V-Twin if you are running real hard or racing OR just want additional protection. Up to 50 hour drains depending on use.
If you choose conventional the offshore world seems to like Kendall 20W-50 or 40wt. About 25 hour drains.
Use a Mobil-1; K&N or Wix racing oil filter.
Your choice boss.
