You could probably open the combustion chambers up some and knock several points off the compression ratio. I've run a 555 with 9.3:1 and aluminum heads on 89 octane. It actually seemed to make more power than with 93. Probably wouldn't loose a measurable amount of HP.

Thanks BOBL, why didn't I think of that, I guess I got alot to learn .
You guys are great .I have been getting way to stressed out getting an engine sorted out ,There is hope for this factory stroker yet .
