Re: Searay with shingles what now?
all the shingles will make it a lot faster correct? the shingles will improve fuel econmy correct? where can i get some shigles for my cigarette, i'm gonna make my hull a stepped hull. how many packages of shingles will it take to make a quad stepped 35ft mistress? did they install them with screws or roofing nails with the little rubber orings to prevent leaks? if you get a tear in the seat will they use duct tape for the repairs? sounds like they didn't give much thought to your boats cg, and who wants to run a bunch of tab all the time? with only a single small block thats gonna cost you some speed and gas for as long as you own it. seems like a crapola bandaid job. i'd be pissed off and fighting to trade it in on a boat without a major design flaw. just my .02

I'd be out on the adding hook deal. Shingles as you call it. If Sea Ray could not put enought thought into designing the bottom of the boat how much thought do you think they put into the fix?

If you need to borrow a shingling gun, I've got one.
Should be able to lay 2 square an hour.
What pitch are you working on? 4/12 isn't bad. If you get into a 12/12 you're gonna need to get some "jacks" on there to get the shingles in the right place.
