"Zero Decking" a block is not a requirement. |

Zero decking is bringing cutting the block deck surface down till the piston face is equal to it or "Zero" deck. This enhances the flame travel and compression by optimizing the quench area. Chris In a stock engine, how far below the deck are the pistons? I expect it varies from one engine to another. Just wondering. |
Re: 454 stroker qeustions
Kid,
It will vary but .010" is about the average. Chris |
Re: 454 stroker qeustions
