I went through this exact, same thing; Hit a wall at 57mph with LOTS of hp. Took the hook out, raised the engine and outdrive 2-1/2", (they installed those TRS's way too low for today's props) cut in a 9" notch, did just a FEW more things to the engine than when at 57mph, did lots of prop testing, and now can see 80 gps on the perfect day, 75+ anytime, any load. --- Jer

Curious how you took the hook out, And the "9 notch" do you have
any pictues of what you did?
