Thanks open72 was that at the prop?

RWL and KAAMA hook me up with Bob ( rmbuilder) and as it stands now I'm going with:

Callies 4.250 crank
Eagle 3D 6.385 rods w/ARP2000 bolts
SRP pistons 4.500 9.2 to 1
AFR 305 w/CNC chambers
Crane gold roller rockers
Merlin single plane marine 4150
Carb 950 BG
Custom cam (rmbuilder)
Clevite bearings 77 H
Morel hyd. roller lifters
ATI dampner fluid

HP??????? TQ?????????

Should hear from Bob today on the rest and question marks

on the dyno. the 950hp carb is a 4150. probably sholuda went with a 1050 /4500 , but shoulda woulda coulda.

if you really need more power go with at least 10.5 to1 on the comp. the bigger heads won't do you any good unless your real big in cubes, real hot cam , blower , etc..

like i said in previous post 550 is all i really needed to begin with. would i have liked to see a bigger # ,sure...but then comes into play is drives, i don't care who says what , unless you run a #3 or bigger , or surface drive etc--- chit will break at some point with big tourqe motors..

another good person to talk with is sutphen30 , he was banned from oso but i found him on boatfreaks the other day. good guy , seemed to have real good answers that made sense without costing a fortune. would like to see him back on oso but i don't run the office here.

the callies crank is over kill if you ask me, i went with a eagle complete rotating assy kit was 2004.00 clams- crank , 6.385 rods, srp pistons , rings , clevite bearings and balanced.

you can also call mark at precision marine 504/469/7463
www.pmefi.com

he did the tuning on my engine , very honest , i coulda made more power with less money spent but i purchased parts before him and i got together..

just remember that it's easy for people to spend other peoples money...and fast...

My drive will handle 1000+HP.

Anybody have a good idea of the HP I should make? Bob is designing a cam to make peak power around 5800 to 5900 rpm.

With a complete CNC on the heads, solid roller with .700 net lift to take advantage of the cylinder head, I would think 1.25 to 1.35 hp per cubic inch. I would also consider a set of shaft rockers. Just an opinion.

I'm going with a hyd. cam with about 645lift.
The heads are just CNC chambers. If I can get 1.25 I would be happy, it will turn my drive 5925 rpm's.

If I have enough money left over after I do my drive I will get it dyno tuned.
