Default More Power for a pair of 377MX MPI'S

I am looking for some ideas for reliable HP for my 377'S
I was thinking of a set of comp cams roller rockers(mag 1.52 ratio)
I do not want to do any major work(heads/ exhaust)
Maybe a set of cams? fuel injection/injector work

Any ideas? (not bigger motors either)

Thanks

There has not been a lot of talk about modifying these engines.
Better flowing exhaust would be one place to start.
I would talk to one of the fuel injection gurus before thinking about a cam change. Mark at Precision EFI or Tyler Crockett are two of the best from what I've heard.
There is always the supercharging option if you want to spend the $$.

stock 260hp smallies are bound up by the stock exhaust.......now you got a bigger cube engine making more horsepower......take it from there

I upgraded a 377 last summer I put the aluminum fast burn heads on and changed the camshaft and used a Mefi 3 ECU and wiring harness so I could tune it and made around 400HP. The intake and throttle body seemed to be the restriction. You could start by changing the exhaust that would be the place to start. As far as changing the rocker arm ratio you won't gain much. If you change the camshaft you will need to reprogram the ecu and nobody can get into the stock Merc ecu.

What would you suggest fora exhaust systems?

What type of Torque and hp #'s would be achieved by changeing the exhaust?

Does the riser height mean anything for the hp & torque #'s or is it there to get it out the existing holes in the transom?

thanks in advance for the info

Dave

Exhaust improvement is the way to go with the SBC. I put Stainless Marine on my 350 along with a head change, carb & intake change, ignition change and 1.6 roller rockers. I need a cam change but I'm in no hurry to pull the engine.

You may see 10-20 HP and same on torque and about 1 MPH and that's it with just the ex change. I would put the CMI's on especially if your going to do more upgrades later.
