Approx how much anti-freeze does the block hold after you drain it? A 454 v8 chevy. Thanks

block holds about 3gals and manifolds hold alittle less then a gal ea

I agree.... my 454's hold about 5 gallons each. I usually put about 7 gallons in my pump bucket when I start them up, the extra 2 gallons is so there is some left in the bucket so it can keep recirculating it through the motor as I run them long enough to heat them up in preparation of changing the oil.
