Nice job! Did you have any problem removing the stuff off the transom w/o damaging the gel? Sealing those holes with resin?

Thanks US1
What holes are you talking about? The only hard part was removing the trim tabs. They were on with 5200,what fun.I used four or five spackel knifes and mineral spirits.I hammered little by little the knifes between the tab and hull and then would soak with spirits into the gap.Little by little the 5200 would let go until they came off.No damage what so ever.

I am going through the same thing right now with my 89 Fever. I have just installed new T/As and since mine did not have hyd steering, I am working on that. I am still way ahead of my engine builder. So far ahead that I am thinking of removing the T/As and changing the cutout to raise my drives.

Something to think about if your x-dim is like most older Fountains (16.5 to 16.75). You may want to consider shorties or raising the cutouts and engines. There have been some good discussions on this in the Fountain forum. I talked to Marty @ Fountain and we discussed this at length and decided that 18 to 18.5" would probably be good on the older non steps as well.
