ECB,
What I use is a water bottle with a small flexable straw epoxied to the end filled with oil (atf). The straw fits in the dip stick hole and I squeeze the bottle and fills up the pump resoviour-clean no mess with the measured amount. See pic

Thanks for the tip... what I did was take the pump I have for for filling my outdrive fluid and slowly filled the pump through the dipstick.... Sure could use a design change to make this task a bit easier...
