454 mag head and cam selection

I have twin 454 mag efi s 385hp. I want to put a set of aluminum heads and upgrade the cam and put on some headers. Any suggestions??? Ive looked at the afr 315 cc heads CNC runners. Is that a good choice for my motors? Thanks for any advice. Want to pick up some good power gains.

Talk to Tyler Crocket. He has upgrade packages for EFI/MPI engines.
You will need to have the ECMs re-calibrated for more than just an exhaust change...

obsession,

A set of heads with s smaller runner size would probably be more suitable for a 454cid marine engine vs a set of 315cc runners. There are several guys on here who are running the 315 AFR heads on 540cid engines---some even with blowers. I run the 315 AFR heads on my naturaly aspirated 565cid engines.

There are some guys on here that you can get some good ideas from. At least one of them is "rmbuilder"/Bob Madara. He's a man of integrity and is a very good, knowledgable guy to ask. He has helped several guys on here, and can help you select the right head, and cam combination for your cubic inches, rpm range/application.
