Drive & crank life
Kind of new here.
Building a 383 (approx 375 Hp) in front of a lightly used Alpha Gen II on a 2900 lb / 21' Caravelle Interceptor. Am fairly gentle on equip (no hole shots or air).
Will a shower & synthetic oil be enough? OR should I add a drive reservoir, etc? Am currently having drive gone through to check impeller, gears / bearings...
Mostly for skiing & gen recreation. For Alphas, are 3 or 4 blade props better at reducing stress loads? (Or is this even a consideration?). Probably not an issue, but max MPH should not get above 75 (insurance reasons).
Is cast crank ok? Look like going with a Scat or similar stroke kit.
