Y2K is a great deal! I would not hesitate to go that route.

Check the superboats website...one there for sale for $56,000 with a 496Mag.

new Y2K for sale

That would leave you $21,000 for engine upgrades. You should easily be able to hit your 80mph goal with that!

Man that's A LOT of boat for the money! You could probably jump up to a HP500 and add the K-planes, external steering and offshore mounts and still be under $80k!

She can put the 525 merc racing in and k-planes, twin ext. steering, and a few little options and be at 80K and 80 mph plus. !!! The way to go Puz Galore.

Faster,
A 29 Activator (27 with a 2' intergrated swim platform) sells for 145K with a 525, and sopposedly does 85. But at the Speedboat trials with the Y2K was only 2.9 mph (GPS ). Then again, our boat is 3' longer, was running a XR drive and a bravo prop while the Activator had a Imco with a 6 blade herring. I think the Y2K is the way to go for the money. Literally, half the price.

29 (27 with a 2' intergrated swim platform) Activator is 145K with a 525. A Superboat Y2K with a 525 starts at around 75K. A no brainer.
