I think i was running lean. just installed new carbs, and was running it, port motor dropped 400 rpms, i pulled down to idle, idled fine, revved fine, killed it, went and looked and milkshake in the oil.

Blown head gasket? I just put cometics on it, but guess it doesnt matter when your lean.

How are the plugs? They will show you a lean condition.

just found out, plugs good, compression good, bad intake gasket!

Intake gaskets are the number one thing to check whenever someone says they have milkshake oil, in my book.

What type of intake?

stock hp500 intake (carb).

Keep on torqing it down as many rounds as needed until the 1st bolt in the sequence holds the torque.

Hey Shawn .. not one problem ...motors are out now ..we replaced everything but the blocks .. stroked out to 509's... cant wait to get it all together ...m
