Default outdrive for 900 h.p.

if you had to choose a outdrive for a 4500 lb boat with 900 H.P. and ther was no room to use a trans.[the drive must shift ] what would you choose ?

the imco 4x4, the imco 1000, or the konrad ace. i understand you said there is no room, how ever these units use a box which houses the tranny therefore using no more room than a bravo style install.

i talked to biggus at the sarasota pr, they haven't had a drive puke yet! give him a call and see what he thinks about your combination

For many single engine applications, an extension box causes issues. I wouldn't put that kind of money in to a drive that might work. If you know of someone with the same hull and power with an extension box that works well, I'd consider it. Most everyone has had bad luck with extension boxes on my Checkmate.
