I have been doing it the way H2o says....works every time like a breeze. NOTE: You will need to block the frame of the trailer so that you are not changing things due to movement of the trailer springs when you get in the boat to secure the mounts.

this method does work but only if you have a way to raise and lower the mtr

I have a fork lift but most people dont have one in there back yard
