Default HP500EFI sea water pump

I have an HP500EFI which has 200 hours on the clock, and the sea water impeller has been changed one time. I recently purchased a kit from BAM that included the housing, impeller, o-rings, wear plate, and new bolts, just wanting to be prepared in case the inside of my housing was badly worn. Upon inspection of the new housing, I discovered some very sharp mold lines on the inner surface where the intake and pressure ports are cast. My question is: has anyone else noticed this, and should they be smoothed out somewhat before installation? Seems these sharp parting lines would instantly start cutting the new impeller blades. Thanks for the advice.
