installing new motor...ignition problems
I bought a short block and built a motor the rest of the way. the boat is a 1989 formula with thunderbolt ignition. the motor is a 350 magnum. While turning over the motor sounds way to smooth i don't hear the starter struggling as if maybe a lack of compression. Is this normal for a motor that hasn't been run yet? I wonder if maybe my rocker arms are to tight.
Well here is my immediate problem..I have no spark from teh coil. I was having trouble wiring it, as i forgot where some things go, i have looked at a diagram but i think i have it right. I took a voltmeter to both the positvie and negative on the coil...they both read 12 with the ignition on...What should I do next?
thanks ahead of time for the help...the weather is nice and I am worried i wont get this thing running!!
