Default Impellar Question

So I had water coming out of my exhaust just fine the last time I used my boat, 2 weeks later I go to use it today and I can't get any water at all out the exhaust? Tried to hook up a hose to the flush kit to stop any kind of vapor-lock etc., still nothing. Guys at TNT says I must have burned up the impellars? But how do both just completly go when I was getting plenty of flow out my exhaust the last time I was out, right up until and through the flushing process? Yes I checked to make sure the sea strainers were on? If it is in fact the impellars, which I'm going to change reguardless, how worried should I be about impellar pieces in my cooling system? and What's the worst they could do to it? In other words what should I do to make sure I change everything out correctly?

Also does this sound right to anyone, that BOTH impellars would just fail completly all together, or could it be something else?
Thanks!

The pieces from the impellers usually don't make it much farther than the oil cooler. Should be able to just take the hoses off of the oil cooler flush any debris out of there with a garden hose.

Sounds a bit odd, but possible. If you didn't have enough waterflow initially, both could have smoked & blocked the cooling flow. Like Orion said, they usually dont get past the oil cooler.. Jamie / Lakeside

is it possible that you got into some mud when docking? If so inspect the water passages in the outdrive. Disconnect the input hose off the raw water pumps and make sure water is flowing to the pump with the muffs on the outdrive.

You will need new impellers, if they are shredded, then follow orion27's advice.
